We look forward to seeing you for SOLIDARITY IN THE SUN!

Veterans and working people are facing the same issues—a lack of good jobs, access to quality health care, and the need for racial and economic justice.

Sisters and Brothers,

Life really is better in a union! That's not just a slogan; it's a fact.

Workers in labor unions earn 18% more in wages, have access to better health care benefits and enjoy safer workplaces. Even in times of economic uncertainty, union members have greater job security.

Just take a look:

Sisters and Brothers,

I am providing a brief update on the status of our contract negotiations.

Local 194 is one of 5 NJTA Unions (IFPTE Local 196 Chapter 1, 196 Chapter 12, 200 and AFSCME Local 3914) in bargaining with the NJ Turnpike Authority. Local 194 has also been at the individual bargaining table. Negotiations have been ongoing since April.

While we have made progress, the job is not complete. State unions, like the 70,000 member Communications Workers of America (CWA), are in the same boat. Negotiations have been fair, respectful, but time consuming.

Don't forget to make a VOTING PLAN. Be a UNION VOTER and support the candidates that share our values. Union members can find UNION VOTER RESOURCES at njunionstrong.org

Brothers and Sisters,

It is very difficult to deal with the loss of a co-worker, particularly someone as sweet and gentle as Jonathan. I was blessed with the opportunity to work with him and, like many of his co-workers, will never forget the impact he made in my life. Please keep the Proctor family in your thoughts as they deal with this tragic loss.

The Central and Office Chapter meetings will take place at 5pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in the lunchroom at NJTA HQ.

Local 194 is proud to announce HISTORIC HEALTHCARE RELIEF. Enclosed is the CHAPTER 78 SUNSET MOA, which establishes LOWER healthcare contributions for the SAME QUALITY HEALTHCARE!!! We worked long and hard to make sure that our brothers and sisters receieve UNPRECEDENTED RELIEF during difficult times.

Our unions would like to thank the NJTA, Transportation Commissioner Gutierrez-Scaccetti and Governor Murphy for sitting down with the unions to bargain in good faith.

Elections have consequences.
