| TURNPIKE ADOPTS EXCHANGE POLICY FOR LONG-TERM ILLNESS | Local 194 is pleased to join the Turnpike in instituting a new policy concerning employees with catastrophic illnesses. Heretofore, when an employee ran out of sick leave and T/D, he/she had no source of income.
Under the new policy, co-workers will be permitted to "donate" their sick days to each other in the event of catastrophic or long term illness. Local 194 had advocated such oportunities on individual basis over many years in the past only to be denied. No one should run out of income during a medical crisis. | | Back to Top |
